Terry Anderssen is a highly experienced Solicitor with over forty years of practice in family law, wills, estate planning, estate litigation, conveyancing, and business law. Having assisted thousands of clients on Brisbane’s northside, he has built an exceptional reputation for his honest, ethical, and approachable demeanour.
Terry takes pride in his ability to listen patiently and clearly explain complex legal concepts, ensuring that clients feel understood and supported throughout their legal journey. His strong communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills were honed early on by working alongside his father and two older brothers, who were also lawyers. This background allows Terry to deliver personalized legal solutions that effectively address the challenges clients face in wills, estates, and family law property matters.
Continuously committed to professional growth, Terry has recently completed a Master’s in Law, equipping him with the latest knowledge and techniques in the field. He is dedicated to helping clients achieve early resolutions through dispute resolution strategies, thereby avoiding costly disputes. However, when litigation is necessary, Terry is also experienced in representing clients in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia (FCFCOA) for parenting and property matters, as well as in the Supreme Court of Australia for estate matters.
Outside of his legal practice, Terry values work/life balance and enjoys an active lifestyle. As an active member of the North Brisbane Lawyer’s Association, he stays connected to the legal community and the latest developments in the field. With a passion for travel and a commitment to learning about new cultures, Terry cherishes time spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.
